How to Create Posts on the Mobile App

Learn about how to create posts on the mobile app. Create content on the go with mobile post creation! In this article, we will go over how to:

 

 

User Actions

Toggle on the following options to enable specific user actions within the platform:

 

Can Edit Before Share

Enable this option if you would like users to be able to edit the caption before sharing the post on social media.

 

Comments

Toggle this on to allow users to comment on the post within the platform. This setting does not affect external social media comments.

 

Likes

Enable this to let users like the post within the platform, separate from external social media likes.

 

Push to Slack

If your team has enabled the Slack integration, toggle this on to share the post on Slack.

 

Push to Microsoft Teams

Toggle this on if your team has enabled the Microsoft Teams integration and you want the post to be shared there.

 

Auto-Queue Post

Enable this to automatically add the post to the auto-queues of users who have this feature enabled. Note that it will only be added to the auto-queue of users who specifically enabled this feature.

 

 

 

Geolink

Toggle on if the link in your post is on a website with regional mini-sites. This will ensure visitors are directed to the webpage for their IP's location.

 

 

 

Save

As a final step, click Save in the top right-hand corner to create your post.

Create a Post from Suggested Content on Mobile

Click on the suggestion box icon in the top left-hand corner of the mobile home screen.

 

Select the piece of content you would like to create a post with.

 

Once you've selected the content, you can customize your post completely as demonstrated in the previous section.

 

 

View Active, Featured, Archived and Pending Posts on Mobile

Click on the suggestion box icon in the top left-hand corner of the mobile home screen.

 

 

Click on the "Suggested" drop-down button to view Active, Featured, Archived, and Pending posts in the platform.

 

 

Reminder: Any changes made on the mobile app will be reflected in the platform on the web and vice versa.

Create a Post on Mobile

To create a post on the mobile platform, start by tapping the suggestion box icon located in the top left-hand corner of the mobile home screen.

Next, click on the teal plus sign located in the top left-hand corner of the screen to proceed with creating your post.

Shareable

Choose whether you would like your post to be shareable or not. Toggle Shareable off if the content is for internal viewership only and should not be shared on social media. Here, you can also choose which social media networks you would like the post to be shareable to.

 

 

 

Post Content

This section contains the content of your post. Add a URL to the article or website you would like to share, and we will populate a title as well as a preliminary caption.

Link Preview

The link preview allows you to visualize what your users will encounter when they interact with your post on the platform. Below, you can see a representation of how the link will appear to users.

Hashtag

Running a campaign? Want to track the use of a new slogan? Add a mandatory hashtag to your post and it will be automatically included in the caption of your user's post when they share it to their networks.

 

NOTE:

Mandatory hashtags are implemented on a post by post basis, adding a mandatory hashtag to one post will not automatically add it to another.

 

 

 

Taxonomy

At this step, choose which Topics the post will be listed under and which Groups will be able to view and share the post.

 

 

 

Publishing Schedule

Set a start and end date for your post. If you do not want your post to expire, you do not need to choose an end date. If you want to share your post immediately, you do not need to choose a start date.

 

 

 

Featured Post

Decide whether your post should be Featured or not. A Featured post appears in the top banner on the main feed page on both web and mobile. Choose what posts to feature intentionally and primarily feature posts that are both important and relevant to your team.
