Overview
The article discusses the introduction of new features to the Post Edit page that enhance the editing process for published posts. These improvements include alerts and notifications for users with queued posts, a warning system for unupdated network tabs after Source Tab edits, and automatic updates for auto-queued posts. The aim is to ensure accurate and up-to-date content distribution and to minimize the risk of sharing outdated information.
Information
We’ve made editing posts after they’ve been published more robust, with alerts and notifications to users that have queued the post. With these changes, admins can ensure that edited posts are distributed accurately, help users send the right message by notifying them when posts in their queue are edited, and update auto-queued posts automatically.
Source Tab Changes
Previously, edits made to the content in the Source Tab did not automatically populate into the specific network tabs. This design allowed for tailored messaging per network but could also lead to errors when typos or content were edited from the Source Tab.
A new warning message will now highlight when the Source Tab is edited, but the network tabs are not updated accordingly.
Additionally, there is now an option to push Source Tab edits to the network tabs without the need to manually copy and paste the edits.
Post Edit Notifications
Previously, when edits were made to posts that had already been published and added to users' queues, there was a risk that these posts could be shared without the updated information, potentially leading to the dissemination of outdated or incorrect content.
To address this issue, a new feature has been implemented. Now, when an admin saves edits to a post, a warning message will alert users who have the post in their queue. Additionally, the admin has the option to include a reason for the edit, providing further context to the users.
Advocates will receive an email notification when a post in their queue has been edited by an Admin. This allows users to review the changes and decide whether to accept or reject the edits made by the Admin.
Automatic Updates for Auto-Queued Posts
Auto-queued posts will automatically incorporate the latest edits made by an Admin, ensuring that only the most current version of the content is shared.
